WYNNE G. YELLAND


Founder and partner Wynne G. Yelland contributes his skills to LOCUS projects as a result of a diverse past and current interests. His prior experience is varied, including the roles of lead architect, project manager and general contractor on public, commercial, institutional and residential projects. A graduate of the University of California Berkeley and Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, he has also worked as an educator. Wynne has taught at Harvard University, the Boston Architectural Center and the University of Minnesota College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and has served as a critic at the University of California, Berkeley.

At LOCUS, Wynne is a lead architect, collaborative leader, project manager, and writer; specializing in the area of product research and the responsible use of materials. His architectural work has been published in local and national magazines, and academic journals; he has also published articles and spoken at conferences on resource-efficient construction. As an AIA member, he currently serves as the co-chair of the AIA MN Lake Superior Design Retreat Committee. He lives in a South Minneapolis house, designed and built by LOCUS, with his wife and children.
