camp teko
Locus Architecture reimagined Camp Teko, a forested retreat on Lake Minnetonka, into a dynamic campus for youth programs, spiritual growth, and community gatherings. The master plan enhanced site connectivity, integrated resilient landscapes, and preserved native ecology. Key additions included a universally accessible Welcome Center and a multi-functional Discovery Center serving as a storm shelter. Additional upgrades featured camper cabins, trails, wetland restoration, and a lakeside swimming pavilion
The Discovery Center was designed with a south-facing orientation and features operable louvers equipped with mounted photovoltaic (PV) panels. This adaptive system responds to seasonal changes while generating renewable energy to power the building.
